I agree! People who read these posts are Mustang fanatics mostly. Joe public does not know or care about tuning.

It's the huge price increase, the screens, the strange touch buttons instead of the airplane switches, the hundreds of S550 re-used interior parts, the downgrade of the ambient light (no cupholder lights), the lack of tuning and also our daily life got more expensive.

This car can't be considered a new model, but a refresh with all those re-used parts.

And still I love it because I never owned the S550.
I believe you hit the nail on the head.
Are daily Life is becoming more expensive.
The interest rates are too high.
I don’t believe no light in the cupholder would be a dealbreaker.
Everyone knows the Tune will be coming sooner or later. Nothing stays the same.
Personally, I like the new screen on the dash.
I like all the colors, I like all the options.
Ford could have done some different body options like maybe air vents in the back fenders to cool the brakes like a GT 350 or maybe some something different with the front fenders but overall I believe it’s a good look.
It’s impossible to please everyone all the time and it’s almost impossible to please everyone some of the time.
How’s that for Word Salad 🥗!

I believe the S650 is the last V8 NA engine we will see. Even when Ford claimed that they will go on.
The sales on this car is very low and it will get even lower with the tariffs coming up.
In strictest terms I think you’re likely right.

Technically they may be telling the truth but next up will be a hybrid.

That's what I was thinking. But a V8 hybrid is highly unlikely.
The problem with a V8 and a hybrid is that it will even cost more and the cost of this car was one of the main reasons why the sales dropped.

It actually makes more sense to make the entry level Mustang a hybrid ecoboost.

Probably accurate, but it won’t matter to me. I have zero intention of ever owning a hybrid or EV for any reason, period. Well, unless the EV has turf tires and is driven mostly on grass.

I‘ll just keep my NA V-8s on advanced life support until one of the two of us gives out. In my mid-70s it’s not an unfamiliar concept.

I hope it’s not a hybrid, because I drove what may be the hybrid of the future today, and it was BAD.

Test drove a BMW 550e today, the thing runs in the electric motor and requires you to put your foot almost all the way down to get the gas engine to start. This means that I was “flooring” a COLD engine. It also took almost. Second to start the engine and get the engine moving to the point it was providing additional power.

this is absolutely not the spiritual successor to the revered 550…the ultimate driving machine outside the M5. I don’t know how BMW screwed it up so bad, but that car is off my list.

do not hope for a Hybrid V8, because it might be similar…electricity first, then petrol only when needed. This is a BAD way to go and I am frankly, very disappointed.

Well, you won't get a hybrid V8 trust me lol. It will cost too much. The additional electic motor will ad a huge amount above the already expensive V8 engine. If there will be a hybrid, they will remove the V8 completely and make an ecoboost with an electromotor that has the same power as the V8 we have now.

Spinning one non drive wheel isnt overly complicated.

BMW ICE powertrains are complicated enough... I don't need to add a hybrid component to it for additional complexity.

Which begs the question, why do they integrate instead of supplement? Fwd, rwd, awd are options. e-motors for fwd, ice for rwd, hybrid for awd, all user selectable with hybrid (supplemental + integrated ) being the most complex calculation.
