Do you guys ever get annoyed with the Dodge 5.7 guys?

Up here I really run a risk as if you’re caught 50kms over the speed limit you lose your license and car for a week, a month, or a year depending on how far over the limit you are plus fines in the thousands, so I really try to restraint but at times my temper takes over.

Ah yes, I also live North of the Wall and have seen this very thing happen. I'm in the GTA and always see "Foreign exchange student caught doing 80 over the speed limit in his father's (INSERT supercar, sports car, luxury car brand here)".

I always wonder if they know there is a 5.7 and a 6.4, and that they have the 5.7, and the mustang is a 5.0, but the camaro is 6.2.

Do you guys ever get annoyed with the Dodge 5.7 guys who always think their truck is fastest in the world?

I live in a rural area where pretty much everyone has a pickup, and the majority of them drive like normal sensible people. Then there’s the kids in his Dodge Ram….

I was heading south on a two lane road when at the top of a hill a Ram runs up behind me and then zips and passes on a double line, cuts in on me with his girlfriend in the truck and rumbles his way down the road. My first thought “jackass”.

Down the road there’s a rail crossing and a train so we sat waiting. Jackass in front of me. When the train finished Jackass takes off standing on his Ram, I figure showing off for the girl.

Now I normally wouldn’t do this but I stayed with him and realizing he was flat out but I wasn’t and no traffic coming I went into the other lane and floored my GT and it actually surprised me I blew right past him when I pulled back in I glanced down at my speedo and I was at really fast (better not say incase police see this) an hour. I’ve never had any vehicle that quick; but the jackass now slowed down and stayed well back and never came close.

I’m now deaf in my right ear as I had my wife with me.

You will need a good Plastic Surgeon to get that Smile off your face .

They don't bug me that much in my Dark Horse. However when they do my Whipple kicks in and I leave them like they are standing still.

Honestly as an EB owner, I have more 5.0 Stang owners that bug me more so than the Dodge guys. Idk if they’re just revving up as a greeting or what but they do more than the Dodge guys do. Most Dodge guys don’t even acknowledge I’m there

I normally don't take the bait when I am in the mustang because I am normally not in the mood, or I don't want to make that much noise and get that much attention.

Now... when I am in the miata, I always take the bait and I always make them really mad. When a little red miata, that looks like it game straight from a junk yard, puts bus lengths on you...it hurts your soul a little bit.

Usually because they have a body kit/wheels etc so the car looks like a Scat/Hellcat until they floor it and it doesn't go anywhere

They all have the loudest shitty sounding exhaust as well. But that also goes for the Durango V8 guys, those things must be on the buy here pay here car lots now.

i honestly thing i have had more truck drivers try to race me than anyone else. F-150s, Raptors, TRXs, and a few diesel trucks too. along with the standard Camaros, Challengers, Chargers, and Teslas, but also some odd ones too like an old Mercedes. if its someone that just likes the Mustang, ill give them a little show.

i actually encountered the most annoying truck driver i've ever seen a week or two ago. about 21:00 on the 101, headed out somewhere, and an F-150 comes up behind me at like 95. im not even in the HOV lane but i move over and he follows. he ends up tailgating me even though the left and HOV lane are clear. im already going 85 but speed up a bit to distance myself, and he just comes along. at that point, i was admittedly worried that they were going to try to follow me or do something crazy, so i go much faster than i should've to distance myself, and i could tell he hit the limiter on his truck. didnt see him for the rest of the night.

unrelated story, but the only other time something like that happened was when i had the EcoBoost and did some Uber Eats deliveries. some old weirdo in a Dodge Caravan decided to tailgate me and follow me, even stopping behind me when i tried to pull off to the side of the road to let him pass. at that point, i decided that im not messing around with this and take off, turning into a neighborhood and making many turns before parking at the end of a cul-de-sac and turning off my lights. movie-type stuff. crazy old guy comes around, probably looking for me. my hiding was probably helped by the fact the EcoBoost was Dark Matter Grey. he leaves, and i wait a few minutes before driving off to the customer's house and dropping off their food. when i was leaving the customer's neighborhood, i saw the crazy old guy behind me one more time, but he decided to not bother me because i was turning a different way than him. never did Uber Eats again after that night

@FarNorth ..... 100%. I don't need a hearing aid for my right ear as the boss (aka the wife) was even more pissed with the idiot beside me than I was. The last thing I remember before I floored it was her saying - would you please shut that idiot up - rocking his car back and forth and revving. We were on a divided highway and traffic was low but I went from 70kph to 134 kph in the blink of an eye. Where I live that's flatbed the car territory and an insurance agent licking his lips about my new premium - if I get caught......but once in a long while it's just fun to let the ponies out of the barn.

wow....134kph, that'd like 80mph right? thats the cruising speed for most of the highways where I live. We are not considered going fast till 250kph.
