The whole point is to race stock for stock lol
They got the highest trim of each and raced it. You can add a ton of stuff to any car and then claim ya let’s race it. Why not race it with a twin turbo full race build, of course the modded car is gonna win. The whole point of udrag series is to race a car from the factory against another car from the factory since that’s what most people care about.
Personally, I don't understand that premise. Stock to stock when the two cars are much different doesn't make sense to me. If I am racing stock to stock, it is two of the same vehicle, and the end result is the difference in the drivers’ abilities. Or two different cars with similar setups, not apples to oranges. To each his own, I guess. But I will tell you I won't be racing my normally aspirated GT against any other 8 cylinder turbocharged/supercharged cars any time soon. Glenn

Edmunds is essentially a buyers guide type channel/magazine/publication. They take cars that people cross shop or are in the same bracket either performance wise or segment wise. The charger EV technically is described as a muscle car, the only other muscle car on the market is the Mustang. The charger EV Daytona is the top trim, as is the dark horse for the Mustang. They both go for approximately the same price. That’s all Edmund’s is trying to do with this, they’re not trying to do some gotcha or some oh ya EVs are better for sure. So don’t take what they do subjectively, they just want to showcase races to compare the cars when they’re as new as possible.

No need to ignore fun just need to recognize/remember: a horse is quicker than a camel but that camel sure can hump.
