Latest update has completely borked Android Auto for me. No audio at all, even when I disable Media Audio under my phone settings in the screen menu. Even tried forgetting the phone both from the car menu and the phone's bluetooth menu.

I think there's a fix to this posted on the Mach E forum. It has something to do with the latest Android Auto update. I'll see if I can find the thread.

@slowjim Disregard.... that AA update affected PAAK; not audio. Send me the VIN if you like and I'll look into it tomorrow. First time I hear of this.

I was able to resolve it by enabling wireless AA. I had originally disabled it because I often prefer to use bluetooth instead.

Got 3 updates in less than a month (today one is 6.3.2), maybe because the car was sitting at the dealer. Dunno.

Finally, I got the latest update 10.1.1. It took 4.5 months to get all the updates since I bought it In August.

My car has been sitting for a month and my Ford pass said I needed to start the car for it to work. So I did 2 weeks ago. Ford pass then worked like it did when I first bought the car. When I sit in the car and start it and let if run for 15 minutes and it would not get updates 2 weeks ago. Today I drove the car 6 miles and it still says checking for updates and it could take a few minutes. Still no change at all. Spin cycle all over again. Should I pull the negative battery cable and let it set 20 minutes to reboot it ? It updated Dec. 19th 2024 to the 10.1

I wouldn't worry about it... it will get updates when it gets updates... not much you can do about that. I get more if I actually drive the car more... try that 😁

That's kinda what I figured. Winter has kept me from driving it and I ended up getting the flu for a week which turned into Bronchitis for another week. I just thought the spin cycle message was odd.

Yes, pull the negative cable for 20 minutes to get the spin cycle to go away when you check for updates. I can't say for sure that will prevent updates from going through, but I know that's the way to clear that out and I would do it if it was my vehicle. If you have forscan you can try to reboot the GWM and TCU. If that doesn't work, then the battery.

Ok it worked. I pulled the Neg. cable off the battery for 20 minutes. The spin cycle I have had for a month is now cleared. My updates are set to happen everyday at 1am so we will see. I got the 10.1.0 on Dec. 19th on my 2024 GT. Thank you for your help.
