Hi Friends,

SYNC Version4.0.23151 and connected to Wifi. I have locked the doors, turned off auto lights, cant seem to get an update for Sync or Maps.
Is it time to visit the dealer... its been .. a long time.

No cool gauges is a bummer!

how long is a long time?
I think I would, but keep in mind, OTA are all over the map. I bought my ’24 MDH in July, it was built in May. I just got the ABS module update in January of ’25 !

But, I got my first update in something like week 3 September.
You have a generous window for auto updates configured?

AThanks for the reply - as generous as I can be. 7 days a week at 1 am.

I need to perform the knuckle recall and an oil change… Will add this one to the checklists

Dealers aren't going to perform updates just because you haven't received them yet. Not for free.

WiFi has NOTHING to do with OTAs. They get delivered via TCU.

I have gotten all sorts of updates, with the keys in the car and unlocked in my garage.

I did change the WiFi to a dedicated one that I use in the garage so my diagnostic scanner can talk to Snap On servers, for some reason the other WiFi network which is a mesh network that is hard wired to the Modem would not let my scanner connect, but once I got off the mesh network and their software the scanner worked.

I have the Fox, and a couple of other retro gauge choices, I have them set using the memory recall on the door so I can change them at will, the last update I got was ABS-24-12.0 which I hope solves the issues related to the car going nuts on attempted start up and addressed in Ford TSB #SSM 52286

Im assuming its just a waiting game.. kinda lame but is what it is.
Shame they don't have a webhook integration where the vehicle control module cant request update queue.

All my updates were received without having a parking brake set.
Most if not all of mine were the same. Truck and DH. The only exceptions were when I applied manually (FDRS and Mongoose).

I'm still on 24058 rev 1197.

my update screen was spinning endlessly, pulling the battery for 10+ minutes fixed that, I got a update for ECG.

Tried setting scheduled updates but the car doesn't seem to do anything, says nothings available. I tried Send feedback 3x for "updates not working" and have incremented the "update during this time" to 30+ minutes from now several times today, still no dice.

Really frustrated with the sync infotainment system when 1/10 times starting the car, I have no audio output via carplay, and power cycling the car and waiting for the radio to turn off before starting again fixes it.

Guess I need to go to the dealer?

This may help. Ford just released it last week.

However, in order for the dealer to do this (if they do it, because this document is not some smoking gun you can use to get them to update it), the update(s) need to be available for your particular VIN. In other words: If they plug your can in and it does not show an update pending for the modules listed in the TSB, they can't do anything to update it.
