Absolutely disgusting.

They've turned this thing into an EV Mac Truck.

And the styling simply isn't there with the production model... I just don't see who's going to want one. Betting it's going to be a stinker on the sales charts.

I don't even care about the weight or any statistics...... GEEZ - it's electric. I stopped playing with electric cars and tried to make a go-cart out of dad's lawn mower when I was eight. Now I'm going to buy a pos EV? Stellantis will soon be too broke to build a soap box derby car.

You are going to get a mustang or you wouldn't be here. Lol kudos to you for shopping around. Started life driving a Mopar. Went Chevy z28 1970 till 1988 world IROC. Then went Mustang best bang for the buck. Only car that I enjoyed more was my e39 M5. Had a few 4 banger boosted cars they were fun but these are a different. Good luck in your search.
Ooh, the E39 M5 and the W210/W211 E55 were my childhood favorite performance sedans!

At this point I can only see myself owning a GT/Mach-4 or an AWD RC350. Everything else I'd have to lease first. Thanks for the well wishes in my search, I'll need all the luck I can get!

Jesus, the weight increase. They didn't even try. We give Ford a hard time for a mustang GT weighing 3,800-3,900 lbs, but this thing is almost a thousand lbs heavier.

Keep in mind, the main benefit of EVs is straight line acceleration. This thing at lower speeds isn't that much faster than a 10 speed 5.0 and it's gonna get it's ass handed to it by the mustang in the corners. Dodge is cooked bro, this is it, game over. Nothing they make is selling anymore, that will be compounded by this trend.

I'm about to take hard bets! No matter that the EU or the US power-that-be mandate, electric vehicles will never become main stream! After all, the US went through the same scenario back in the 1920s. Sure, the Baker electric plowed ground, but by the late 20s, they were holding on by the skin of their teeth.

We can discuss hydrogen, natural gas, and a few more alternatives, but the truth is, the world will still be using fossil fuels well into the 2050s. Fact is, if the truth be known, Elon Musk has already designed an ICE version of their model 3! Long live dead dinosaurs.
the EV rationale is a lie.

the environmental impact of EV production and end of life are horrid.

and that’s before you get into the lack of infrastructure.

I think EVs have a place. But not at mass scale and certainly not at all as a replacement for ICE.

Time to roll back the craziness and get back to building great things. So many things unexplored to actively greatly reduce pollution and maximize efficiency. If only there were incentives to do that instead of pouring everything into a dead end.

When did the Mustang and Camaro crowd become Corvette guys?
I’m a fan of both, currently I own a 2023 Corvette Z51 & a 2024 GT Premium. I enjoy them both immensely. Each one has it’s strengths and weaknesses. I’ve also owned several Camaros….again they had their ups and downs.

I think they missed a real marketing opportunity in not emphasizing how great it will be after the Zombie Apocalypse. All that extra mass will be "killer" for boring a hole through the Undead! Just sayin.........................

There’s a technique to getting in and out of a Vette, once I figured it out it’s no problem .

And its big boat ass will hurt A LOT of feelings.
