Interesting take. On "recent" vehicles (2015+) the Chev has god-awful materials but some ingenuity in design. Mopar materials are barely a step up but RIFE with stupid where apparently the designer was far more interested in looks than actually making provision for use. Ford actually has the "best" interiors of the 3 with good enough materials and attention paid to ergonomics and practicality.

Now that's ignoring the anus that this new dash is and the failure to spend any time on cohesive integration.
Lol yeah I agree they took the easy way out and did not try to look unique at all. But to me, I felt the interior of the camaro was better as for design and had a good balance of tech, colors, the recaro seats were heated and cooled and other stuff. So that's why I said they had the better interior feel.

Regardless, Dodge sold just about every damn one of them and probably still would.
Lol only because of how overhyped they have become and how it was changed into a status symbol. Also because they get stolen as soon as you get out the car. So people buy another lol. But I have nothing against them they are great drag cars.

In business that’s called a success.

Yeah but also a failure when it's literally stolen in 10 seconds. So from a business standpoint hell yeah make it a symbol. Which honestly not a great symbol but it makes money. Also why fix the theft issue when people gonna buy another lol. That's my issue with them. The fix is easy, but they know you'll get another so they don't fix it. But it's funny how the same status that made them become a symbol Also gonna cause them to become bankrupt. Double edge sword unfortunately.

The only year Mustangs I never bought since my 1st Mustang in 1984 was the New Edge model. I hated them EXCEPT for the 2003 to 2004 SVT Mustang Cobra. I never owned one..... I have had each generation of Mustang since 1984 except that one. I personally like the S650 and having owned several S550 I was BORED with the interior on that generation. I welcome the change myself

There is a fix for it and there was a letter sent to Dodge owners to get their PCM "Locked" so that the current way thrives are stealing them would be locked out essentially. Problem is, you are screwed if you lose keys because you cannot program a new key to the car PERIOD. you have to get another module and have it installed and programmed.

That's is just as bad as not having the car. Plus that's alot of money to spend for an issue that is a manufacturer fault. But hell are they gonna fix the transmission release lever... lol most the time they steal the car by releasing that and pushing the car to victory 😂. It's just too east to steal.

Guess I will decide if I like it when mine comes in. Not in love with it from media examples.

great, now Dearborn will say "see, BMW top-tier cars have the same screens we got and they didn't even try to integrate them either" and will refuse to repent.

I can't believe I'm saying this because it could be misconstrued as being an apologist for the glued-on tablet fad, but at least BMW's latest screen setup features high pixel density, good color contrast, deep blacks, minimal bezels, and isn't planted in a way that obstructs your sightlines (ie embedded mid-dash, not on top).

I'm fine with digital dashes if done well, but outside of having high-fidelity graphics and snappy response times, Ford could've made the dash much airier and brought a much nicer physical unit to the table to at least check off all the boxes correctly on its first execution.

That BMW's setup looks like a wide screen command center. The S650's sticks out like two laptops on a table.

... "Ford actually has the "best" interiors of the 3 with good enough materials and attention paid to ergonomics and practicality"...Really? My cloth seats, door panels, sun visors, and rearview mirror (in my Mustang) had to be replaced after 8 years. On my Ford truck, the headliner had to be replaced after 6 years. ist for interior quality. FYI, Dodge is not owned by an American company.

or Ford copied the Europeans, like they always do.

The 2023 Audi A4 looks like a great integration of the dah and the IP.

It's an industry-wide thing. Domestic, Euro, Japanese, Korean--they're all doing it.

That's the Q4 "e-tronnnnnn" interior. I personally don't like this interior styling because it shouts SUV (go figure, the Q4 is an SUV). The whole advantage of having a screen-dominant interior is the ability to reduce dash size, which in turn increases interior volume and improves sightlines. There's been a corresponding trend in horizontally-focused interior designs popping up, with reduced dash surface area and broad spanning trim pieces which I am 1000% all in on.

Raising the dash just to encompass the screen feels like a design compromise if it screws up the lines.

If anyone's getting it right, it's Korea of all places. The somewhat new G90 gets crafty with its screen implementation. That's thinking forward instead of looking back.

The lines are clean. The screen doesn't look completely tacked on. No wasted dash surface area. This is what OEs should be thinking about.

In Korea, the owner usually sits in the backseat of the G90

you might want to focus WHICH of us 'Boomer's you'd like us to know you're responding to. Because there are at least a dozen parties to the latest series of opinions. :)

Damn Whippersnappers, can't maintain thread continuity or use this new-fangled forum software correctly. :) :)
