ok sure, i guess since ford had supply constraints we can discount since they obviously lost to dodge that year...whats that? the F150 STILL outsold the Ram in the same time frame? strange its almost like theres more to it than supply constraints...

for the rest of the years congrats you manage to outsell in a market that barely makes any fucking money, now drive that fucker into the ground instead of adapting to changing times because market trends change and sales have been actively slipping since the inception year of the S550, sure.
Let me be clear, because you seem too dense to grasp this.

The Camaro is gone.

The Challenger is gone.

The Mustang is the last standing US made V8 sports coupe left. So much for your insistence that the S550 Mustang was the sales loser in it's category.

And many at Ford would love to end it too. Why? Because the demand for these sort of cars is gone.

And I'll tell you this; sticking a couple of $3.00, Chinese-made maxi-pads onto the dash of the (not at all) "new" S650, pissing off 2/3rds of your existing customer base, is NOT the way to ensure the continued existence of the Mustang.

mustang7g is an echo-chamber on the topic of the S650. All you are hearing here is that people like the maxi-pad dash. Meanwhile, over on m6g, there's thousands of S550 owners wondering what in the hell they're going to purchase next, since it's NOT going to be a Mustang.

Bud Light recently decided it didn't want or care about it's current core customers. Their Marketing Director flat-out said that she wanted to change the demographic they were aiming at. And in the process of doing that, pissed off almost their entire current clientele by effectively telling them all to fuck off, we don't want you any more.

That's what Ford is doing.

you know youve lost touch with reality when you think the tag "Chinese made" automatically means bad, hate to tell you this bud, china makes shit like this better than the US does. Good job pulling that 2/3rds number out of your ass, mustve been hard to reach around all the other shit youre pulling out of there.

so your argument for them continuing with the dated S550 is because the other two competitors are gone? Hate to tell you this bud but..uh.. they arent gone...theyre being made into EV's and whatever the fuck chevy is doing. Ford is deciding to be actively behind the curve here by keeping the V8. Dont get me wrong, i love my V8's. but to think the lack of competitors is going to save the Mustang is something only a cave dweller will believe.

The S650 is not for people that already own a S550.

It’s for people that own foxbodys, new edge, s197s.
And want to own the coyote in its final form to park next to them.
If you already have an S550 and are looking what to buy next… my personal friends are now going back and buying foxbodys while they still can.

Bad? No, cheap. It's cheap shit.

And it's very telling that you are A-ok with cheap Chinese shit in your American Sports Coupe.

As far as the 2/3rds, please tell us all about how involved with the S550 and it's community you've been.

so your argument for them continuing with the dated S550 is because the other two competitors are gone? It's like you're having a completely different conversation.

1. I never posted anything about what should be done with the Mustang based on it's two competitors being gone. The discussion was about sales and market category performance from 2015-2021.

2. If they're not V8 sports coupes, they're NOT a competitor to the Mustang. There is NO new Camaro confirmed, for any future model year. There is NO new Challenger/Charger yet confirmed, nothing concrete AFAIK.

3. I never wrote anything about a lack of competitors saving the Mustang. Again, the discussion was about sales and market category performance from 2015-2021.

Seriously, are you able to discuss some particular thing and stick to it? Or do you just randomly and assumptively change the topic when you're losing the debate?

It's called straw-man arguing. Knock. It. Off.

Yeah....a tiny percentage of the population is a "massive portion of the AB market".

Sure pal. Sure.

That's why their sales are down 50%, instead of being up.

Enough. You live in a fantasy world that doesn't exist, so there's no point in debating with you.

Cheap because China doesnt have worker protection laws so cam pay people 25 cents an hour, which, considering its the single largest cost of any company in the world, explains why its so cheap. otherwise the materials, machines, and assembly lines are all the same as the US. the tech inside isnt made in china, most of the actual 'thinking' parts of the display are made in either Korea or Taiwan.

ill start losing a debate when you start providing actual information besides "hurr durr S550 best V8"
im arguing in line with the original topic: the 2024 Mustangs new display and overall shift to attempt to attract a new generation to the market as apposed to clinging onto the old market that has proven to no longer be reliable.

That's why their sales are down 50%
ah right, i forget that a temporary 1.6% dip in sales and a .25% increase in market value = down 50% overall, my bad

You're still not countering the point I made.

Try again.

This is probably difficult for you to grasp, but you're simply taking the same, but opposite position. You want to believe that changing the Mustang will improve sales, but you have 0 proof, just guesses and hope. On the other hand I DO have actual sales information to show that the existing Mustang was it's market-category sales winner.

Although you seem hell-bent on denying that.

ah right, i forget that a temporary 1.6% dip in sales and a .25% increase in market value = down 50% overall, my bad
I never said "market value = down 50% overall".

Once again, you're not able to read for comprehension. Just more straw-man arguing.

Hell, Bud light themselves even admitted that their sales are down 17%. Not that anyone is believing that number.

oh right, those sales figures that ive been using to explain exactly WHY the mustang is changing the way it is? those ones? the ones that show a clear drop in sales vs previous generations and even when compared to sales trends of their competitors? those numbers?

right...

You're still not countering the point I made.
then let me break it down for you: id rather 'cheap Chinese' screens vs 'shit American' ones

I never said "market value = down 50% overall"
just gonna gloss over the fact that i directly argued the 50% sales thing you tried to BS through? okay then...

The fact that you deliberately choose to interpret those numbers incorrectly isn't my issue. They're simple business and marketing tools you don't know how to use.

One way or another, you're getting ugly shit. That you're A-ok with that, speaks volumes.

No, because you clearly have no idea of what sales, sales percentage, market value, or market cap means. So there's no point in debating anything with you.

Anyways dude......let's agree to disagree. I can't continue debating someone that lives in a fantasy world.

im starting to think you dont even know what those numbers mean. but feel free to go with what you believe

in case youre still wondering and clearly dont like reading its only 1.6% down from last year.

but okay, fine, im tired of arguing with a brick wall, agree to disagree then

One.

Last.

Time.

Bud light themselves admit to a 17% drop in sales. And no one believes that number. There's plenty of information to guess the real drop in sales is closer to 50%. In case you can't understand it, Bud Light/AB has every reason to lie about how their sales have been impacted........and no reason to be truthful.

Later.

first off: NY post = immediatly going to obfuscate as much as they can because they are known to push an agenda

lets take a good look at this then...

according to the NY post, Cnn, WSJ, and Fox: bud light sales have dipped 17%, but heres the funny thing...
those sales were in the US only, globally thats down about 6%

also

Bud light isnt the only Beer that AB makes they also own: budweiser (duh), Bush, Miller. a dip in Bud Light in the US isnt going to affect them as much as you think
