Let me be clear, because you seem too dense to grasp this.ok sure, i guess since ford had supply constraints we can discount since they obviously lost to dodge that year...whats that? the F150 STILL outsold the Ram in the same time frame? strange its almost like theres more to it than supply constraints...
for the rest of the years congrats you manage to outsell in a market that barely makes any fucking money, now drive that fucker into the ground instead of adapting to changing times because market trends change and sales have been actively slipping since the inception year of the S550, sure.
The Camaro is gone.
The Challenger is gone.
The Mustang is the last standing US made V8 sports coupe left. So much for your insistence that the S550 Mustang was the sales loser in it's category.
And many at Ford would love to end it too. Why? Because the demand for these sort of cars is gone.
And I'll tell you this; sticking a couple of $3.00, Chinese-made maxi-pads onto the dash of the (not at all) "new" S650, pissing off 2/3rds of your existing customer base, is NOT the way to ensure the continued existence of the Mustang.
mustang7g is an echo-chamber on the topic of the S650. All you are hearing here is that people like the maxi-pad dash. Meanwhile, over on m6g, there's thousands of S550 owners wondering what in the hell they're going to purchase next, since it's NOT going to be a Mustang.
Bud Light recently decided it didn't want or care about it's current core customers. Their Marketing Director flat-out said that she wanted to change the demographic they were aiming at. And in the process of doing that, pissed off almost their entire current clientele by effectively telling them all to fuck off, we don't want you any more.
That's what Ford is doing.
